Contributor Agreement & Consent

This Contributor Agreement & Consent (the “Agreement”) is between you and LootBeezShop (“LootBeez”). It explains, in plain language, what happens to your recordings and what you agree to. You are asked to read it and tick three boxes in the app before your first recording. Your acceptance is stored with its version number, date and time.

Parties and purpose

This Agreement supplements the Terms of Service. It sets out the specific consent you give for the collection, use and licensing of your Contributions (recordings, transcriptions and related text) and the related personal data. The purpose of processing is the creation, quality control and licensing of speech and language datasets used to develop, train, test, evaluate and improve speech recognition, speech synthesis, translation, language understanding and other artificial-intelligence technologies, and related academic and commercial research (the “Purpose”).

What you consent to

By ticking the consent boxes in the app, you give free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous consent, by a clear affirmative action, to LootBeez:

1. recording and storing your Contributions;
2. analysing your Contributions automatically (for example, measuring loudness, silence and duration, and detecting duplicates) and having them reviewed by trained human Reviewers;
3. associating your Contributions with your age band, gender, state, district and dialect;
4. licensing, selling or otherwise providing your Approved Contributions, with pseudonymous metadata, to Business Customers in India and abroad for the Purpose;
5. allowing Business Customers to use, copy, modify, combine and create derivative works from your Contributions (including AI models trained on them) for the Purpose; and
6. keeping a record of your consent, including the version accepted, the date, time and IP address of acceptance.

What you do not consent to

We will not, and our licence terms prohibit Business Customers from:

• attempting to identify you or link your Contribution to your name, contact details or other identity;
• creating a synthetic voice that imitates you as an identifiable individual, or using your voice to impersonate you;
• using your Contributions for biometric identification, surveillance, or to make decisions about you; or
• publishing your Contributions together with your name or contact details.

Rights assignment

For each Contribution, you assign to LootBeez all copyright and related rights, worldwide, for the full term of such rights and for all media, in accordance with Sections 18 and 19 of the Copyright Act, 1957, and grant the licences described in the Terms of Service. The assignment takes effect on submission. If a Contribution is rejected, it will not be delivered to Business Customers and will be deleted or retained only for quality and fraud-prevention purposes.

Payment

In consideration for the assignment and licence, LootBeez pays you for each Approved Contribution at the rate shown for the Project at the time of submission, plus any applicable quality-level bonus, as set out in the Payment & Payout Policy. Unless a Project expressly states otherwise, no additional royalty or share of revenue is payable on any later sale or licence of the Contribution. Rejected Contributions are not paid.

Your confirmations

You confirm that:

• you are at least 18 years old;
• you are the only person speaking in your recordings (except where a Project expressly asks for a conversation and all participants have their own accounts and consent);
• the voice is your own natural voice and not synthetic, altered or played back from a device;
• you have not included personal information about yourself or anyone else unless the prompt required it; and
• the profile information you provided is true.

Withdrawal of consent

You may withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, from Profile → “Delete my account & data” or by writing to privacy@lootbeez.shop. On withdrawal:

• you will not be able to perform further Tasks;
• Contributions that have not yet been delivered to any Business Customer will be deleted from our storage;
• Contributions already delivered to Business Customers cannot be recalled, because they have been licensed and may have been used to train models; they do not carry your identity;
• your approved Balance will be paid in accordance with the Payment & Payout Policy; and
• we will retain your consent record and payment records as required by law.

Changes to this Agreement

If we materially change this Agreement, we will increase its version number and ask you to accept the new version in the app before your next Task. The version you accepted continues to apply to Contributions submitted under it.
